Carnarvon Gorge

Carnarvon Gorge National Park is a lush oasis hidden amongst rugged ranges.  Carved by the flowing waters of Carnarvon Creek, the sandstone gorge meanders 35km through the National Park. Most visitors stay several nights to walk the Gorge’s 21km of graded walking tracks, explore side gorges and view Aboriginal rock paintings and spectacular sandstone cliffs. The ideal time to visit the gorge is during the dry, cooler months from April to October. The gorge can be cool at night and warm by day so be sure to pack for both conditions!
