Self Drive

Major highways such as the Leichhardt and Great Inland Way are fully sealed and the accommodation is as varied as it is comfortable.  If you're on the caravan journey of a lifetime, you will be pleased to know nearly all towns have caravan parks.

To reach Queensland's Western Downs, visitors travel:

• north-west from Brisbane on the Warrego Highway
• south from Goondiwindi on the Leichhardt Highway
• south — west from Hebel on the Great Inland Way
• north from Rockhampton on the Leichhardt Highway
  
  
• All highways and major roads are sealed, but it may be necessary to travel on the unsealed roads to reach some of the more interesting attractions.
